PRESENCE & AVAILABILITY
This is a functionality which can help and support all of your staff, but even more so when you have flexible workers, giving you an overview of your employees' availability and whereabouts using an interface which is familiar to them. Employees will be able to see at a glance who is on the phone, in a discussion via a company messaging system (secure instant messaging), on holiday, in a meeting and who is available to talk.
This can help when trying to find someone who can answer a customer’s enquiry, or when trying to find someone to answer an internal query.
It can save endless rounds of telephone tag, and it is particularly useful when you have a dispersed workforce – you can see at a glance who is available. It is integrated with the phone system, so a person’s status is automatically updated when they pick up the handset to make a call.
Presence and availability can give you confidence in your staff who are based in another location, especially call centre employees or simillar.
